Who we are

Grand Canal Capital Partners is a Dublin-based private real estate investment, asset management and advisory firm. It is owned and led by four equal partners with over 90 years of combined experience across investment, asset management, finance, development consultancy and hotels. What we write is prepared to the standard an investment committee expects: every figure with its basis, every assumption stated, a recommendation clear enough to act on.

The partners have worked through more than one property cycle, and we look for opportunities where active asset management can add value. Our interests are aligned with those of the investors and partners we work with.

About the firm

What we do

Across the life of an investment

From first assessment and acquisition through financing, active management and disposal.

  1. Acquisitions

Screening, underwriting, assessment of worth and buy-side representation through negotiation, due diligence and completion.

  2. Asset management

Business planning, leasing, tenant relationships, capital works, financing, reporting and disposal strategy.

  3. Debt origination

Origination and introductions for borrowers and for lenders.

  4. Operational real estate

Acquisition, viability and development consultancy, operator selection and asset strategy for hotels, leisure and other property that trades as a business.

  5. Investment structures

Where appropriate, we seek to co-invest or take a share of the performance we deliver, so that our interests align with the investors and partners we work with.
